As per the Education Act, Sainte-Agathe Academy activities are overseen by its Governing Board, a decision-making body composed of the principal, parents, teachers, representatives of both non-teaching professionals and support staff, students in cycle 2 of secondary school, and community representatives. These members work collaboratively on ensuring resources are mobilized for student success.

The powers and functions of the Governing Board apply to four areas of school governance: general, educational services, community services, as well as physical and financial resources.

Each September, the chair of the Governing Board or the school principal calls a general assembly of the parents of the students who attend the school to elect parent representatives to the Governing Board.

Representatives from our SAA Governing Board sit on the SWLSB Central Parents’ Committee.
